Carolynne Palla (Palla Media) owns and publishes Steveston Insider, Dunbar Life and Kerrisdale Insider 
magazines and websites.
Actively involved in the community, Carolynne is the Secretary/Treasurer of the Steveston Merchants Association, chair of Christmas in Steveston Village committee, chair of the Community Information Tables for Salmon Festival, and sponsors many local events including Steveston Starry Nights, Steveston Sockeye Spin, Westwind School, Salmon Festival, Christmas in Steveston Village, BC Children's Hospital, and more.
Carolynne grew up on Vancouver Island and attended the University of Victoria. She worked in the property management field for many years as a licensed property manager and real estate agent, and was general manager of a large office in Vancouver. She married Karel Palla in 1999 and with the birth of their son in 2003, they decided to move out of Vancouver's westend penthouse into a home in the suburbs. They fell in love with the waterfront community of Steveston and both decided to start their own businesses. Karel became one of Vancouver's top 3% realtors, and Carolynne followed her entrepreneur spirit and started publishing Steveston Kids magazine in 2007. Within three years the magazine was at full capacity, rebranded to Steveston Insider, and expanded to the Vancouver communities of Dunbar and Kerrisdale.
If you have worked with Carolynne, you know that she works hard and fast with focus and attention to detail. Known for her organizational skills, loyalty, generosity and love of new technology, she is able to maintain many websites and publish magazines on schedule with very little outside help. Carolynne loves to promote businesses and help them succeed. She also knows the importance of family and believes that providing information about local people, activities and events will bring the community together.
Palla Media is a member of the Steveston Merchants Association, Tourism Richmond and Richmond Chamber of Commerce.
